Roots USA Salt Lake City Olympics 2002 Beret $23.99

I think in a couple of months a lot of the people that bought this are going to be wondering what the hell they were thinking.

When I was at the Olympics a little over a week ago, I didn't know how popular those things were, and I wanted one. I realized the same thing that Big Al said, that I'd never wear it ever again after the Olympics and opted-out of buying one when I had the chance. I saw tons of people in Park City with them, though.

I know that Roots is a clothing company because I have some of their stuff. Does anyone know what it means though? I keep thinking of Roots the movie... I'm sure that isn't what it means though.

Roots is a Canadian company (HQ'd in Toronto?) and have about 300+ stores in Canuckland and perhaps 10 in the US. I've read that they plan on "invading" the US and opening several hundred stores here in the next 5-8 years. They are positioned to compete against the likes of Abercrombie, Eddie Bauer and Banana Republic.
