Here. No PC needed. Built for the SGS but it should work on every Android device that the rage exploit can root -- which, I think, is most of them.

Almost certainly not. It just emulates the common "one-click root" PC programs without the need for a PC. Whatever magic the permaroot uses is quite different.

going to wait for an unroot option (by tomorrow he says), and more people saying they get it to work on the EVO. Looks neat though.

Just use Unrevoked for EVO. Super easy.

This is only for 2.2 I believe. I went through the thread and tried it on my Fascinate even though I saw several "2.2 ONLY" posts. It didn't work for me.
