I'm nearly at the end of the wits here. I got setup through the college housing system w/ this kid and while he seemed fine at first, he's really starting to fucking piss me off. Here are some of the things that drive me nuts and you guys tell me if I'm being unreasonable.
1. Wont stop playing his music.
This guy is some kind of weird techno-geek and just loves blasting that shit 24/7. I cant tell if it's different songs, the same song, or the same 10 second sample from iTunes being looped over and over again. What's worse is that he wont stop talking about all the obscure euro techno DJs, bands and keeps asking me if i've heard of them. NO GOD DAMN IT I HAVENT. Then if I say I enjoy all kinds of music, he gives this condescending sneer and cranks his music even higher.
2. Has a poorly reasoned opinion on everything
I'm a pretty easy going guy and my personal policy is, I wont go around crapping on other people's day unless they start hassling me. For instance, one of my neighbhors bought a Ford Mustang. Not really my cup of tea but I could tell he was excited, so I said congratulations and that it looked nice. Clearly that was too difficult for my roommate, he goes on this 30 minutes tirade about how American cars blow and that all the US car companies should just go under blablabla. By that time the neighbor had already left, so it was just me, the douche roommate, his god damn opinions and that incessant techno.
3. Judges other people's posture
I have scoliosis and congenital kyphosis. Essentially, my back is fucked up. I'm going through physical therapy to try to correct it but even now it's difficult to keep my back striaght for long periods of time. For some reason, this is not acceptable to my roommate. This guy insists on walking ram rod straight all the time like the human boner that he is while criticizing my posture at given moment. I've already explained to him that it's a medical condition but for some reason he refuses to listen.
Anyways, am I in the wrong here? It seems like this guy is just a giant judgmental douche but I wanted to get some other opinions
