How old are you? 12?

Were you ever taught the Golden Rule?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?

Quit the pranks. Move out. Grow up. Move on.

What about a tag located near a door knob? You know when you're unlocking a door and fiddling with your keys because you have to pee so bad when someone decides right then and there to contact you. Well, sometimes I'll be multitasking with a phone in my hand. Is there a common place where you would rest your non-dominant hand (presumably with a phone in it) while entering the building or room?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

If my roommate sent inappropriate texts to women at my work, my roommate would shortly have a black eye and his shit on my lawn.

(but think of less harmful stuff to do instead, as I am totally for appropriate mutual pranking. Sending vaguely homoerotic texts to friends, etc)
Why would you make him shit on your lawn? Wouldn't you rather shit on his lawn?

It's been a month. Have you gotten anywhere with this? Any chance you would be able to record his reactions?

He made a thread or 2 in MD&G about his frustrations with NFC, so I'm guessing not. Said he got tags that weren't compatible with his phones or something.

Not cool to screw with his ex or his work. Just because he did it to you does not make it any more appropriate for you to do it to him.

meh, seems fair play to me if his friend/roomie did it to him.

Tags I ordered don't work with his or my phone. Plus I found out when the tags come in contact the phone makes a pretty loud beep sound, so it wouldn't have been nearly transparent enough. F*CK NFC, I'm done with that shitty technology lol. But I'll come up with an even better prank, this one sounds better than it probably would have turned out any ways. He got me gooooood 3 months ago, so I gotta do something that he'll be unable to top. I do have epic brewing in my mind, I'm just not sure how to bring it all together.

I recall college humor doing prankings that escalated. One, that I was a huge fan of, was the one guy went skydiving and the other had the instructor attach a fake rip cord that was just the handle/grip with a short length of rope attached. They got the thing filmed, and of course the real rip cord was still there that the instructor pulled. Freaking hilarious.

My heart has grown cold after all the pranks he's pulled on me over the years. We go back and forth trying to one up the other. In all honesty this definitely would be a bit much in an ordinary situation, but this isn't an ordinary situation. Seeing how I've almost gotten fired from jobs in the past because of him and his pranks. I consider it fair game :D

You two need to just admit your love for each other and move on, good grief.

His phone has NFC, which I'm sure he doesn't even know what it is. Me being the great roomie I am have decided to have some fun with this. The 10 pack of NFC tags I ordered just came in today and I'll be programming or flashing or errr whatever you do to them to activate them. And will be placing them in a few spots he puts I know he puts his phone. They're a semi netural color so hopefully he won't notice them. The 1st will be put on his charger dock, programmed to wait 10 minutes then dial his ex girlfriend and auto hang up after 15 seconds. Suffice to say they don't get along at all, and something tells me this won't bring them any closer :D I'm trying to learn Tasker so the rest will take awhile. When I get it figure out though his nightstand will become spots 2-7, I'll put 6 different ones so depending on where he lays his phone a different action will be triggered. I was thinking various semi sexual texts to a co-worker who knows he use to have a crush on her. I believe with Tasker I can have it send a random one, which can only add to the greatness. It would be delightfully awkward if she doesn't say shit to him and he's at work looking at her none the wiser. I hope NFC's can transmit thru the thin cover that's on top of his nightstand.

I have a few other tags but I can't come up with what to do with them yet. So if anyone here has suggestions I'm all ears. Basically I can make them do anything Tasker can do, so that should open up lot of opportunity for my foolishness.

wtf dude yea its not fun until you get him fired and all of a sudden your roommate cant pay his share of the rent... party on!!!

Those 2 go back and forth with some excellent shit, the proposal one was LOL, the fact they remain friends after all the shit they've pulled on one another is a sign that people take shit too seriously. I know people who you could pull the simplest prank on them and they'll never talk to you again. I take any prank in good humor, then start planning my retaliation. The CH dudes are pretty inspirational when it comes to pranks, anyone who hasn't seen the proposal one it's almost perfect. And while not nearly as good, the half court blind basket ball shot for $100,000 is great too :D

Definitely not that, love is a serious emotion. The battling back and forth is probably what keeps up as good friends as we are. I ask you this, could you love someone who had you believing your name was on a sexual predator list? He did that to me and had me living in fear, and to boot he waited 10 days before explaining to me it was all just a prank. The prank itself was bad enough, but drawing it out into a 10 day ordeal was pretty damn epic. For 240 hours I believed I'd forever be labeled as a child molester. I threw up more than 1 time. After a prank like that you would probably be unable trust a person enough to love them.

That's hilarious. First time I hear of these tags, sounds interesting.

Though messing with the job seems a little over the top though. The X, who cares, but the job, may be pushing it.

LOL - I can imagine the dudes face when the instructor holds a handle with a broken string attached to it. It would be like a cartoon or something...HAHA.

I just got a 10 pack of NFC tags and the software that's available in the Android Play store is not that powerful. I am curious what you are using that's so advanced it can make phone calls, sleep, then hang up?

Tasker can do all that, you'd create the script in Tasker and have NFC Launcher or something execute it. The only actual thing I ever created for this with Tasker was a script that was going to change his alarm time every 3 days.
