I fucking love cats. We took care of this girl's cat a few times and I would leave my door open on purpose so the little fucker would come in early in the morning and hop on my bed.

Anyway I'm not sure how much noise two cats make, but I'd recommend ear plugs for the time you have left living there.

Unfortunately there is no set laws on roomies.
Not many discuss what is ok and what is not until the offending party does it. At that time the offending party thinks it's normal and not offensive. The other party feels slighted and deeply hurt.
If you are going to live with anyone, don't take it for granted what their values, morals, life style is.
In my experience most have had the biggest problem with one of my friends bringing home chicks all the time. This was a typical deal. Even if we invited the other roommate out they were a freaking wallflower. We get some women then they'd bitch about 'I need to sleep'.
I am glad the only roommates I had were women I was screwing.

I don't know why everyone's getting on the OP's case like this. Something like cats should be discussed with roommates before they're brought into a shared living space. And I sure as hell know I can get quite irritable if something wakes me up in the middle of the night, especially if it's because of an act of disrespect, such as someone's acquisition of noisy animals.
Yeah, I like kittens and cats. But I don't like it when they go nuts at night. (Nor do I like it when they "miss" the litterbox, or get something stuck to their rear end and do the butt-drag on a rug, or throw up, or the way they have to walk in their "toilet.")
But they are always so fuzzy and friendly. I would like to have cats that could be at least somewhat useful though. They get a warm house, and access to good nutrition and medical technology that's eons beyond anything they could imagine. Dammit, I want something useful in return!
Is that too much to ask?
