Roomba, Anyone?

I've seen one used before. While it does pick up like bits and pieces of stuff, it has really crappy filtering.

They are Crap. they have about a 75% return rate and usually break Within 90 days. They are A novalty POS

My parents have one, seems to work pretty well. I borrowed it for my apartment, and it actually seemed to do a good job. Funniest thing is watching the dog around it though, that's damn near worth the price alone. 😀

Two thumbs up. We've had it literally cleaning up the whole house consecutively for the past 3 weeks. So far so good.

We've seen those chep knock-off's at Walgreen's, judging from the weight/price/performance and that article posted on /. comparing the two - i can honestly say the Roomba is worth it.

i don't keep my money or valuables on the floor.

If you can set it up properly I've heard good opinions about the Roomba. Of course it may be quite difficult or impossible n your house to get it set up. The major complaint that I've heard is that it is physically impossible for the Roomba to vacuum all the way to the walls, and with a round design it can not vacuum a corner. So you still need a real vacuum to get those areas (and anything else you like to vacuum such as the couch or blinds etc).

I've got Roomba here at home running right now actually. 🙂 As for how well it cleans, it's not gonna do as deep a clean as a real vacuum, but it definitely still does a very good job. My only complaint about it is the dust filters. They get filled up within 30 minutes and if you're not around to empty them, the Roomba just won't pickup any more dirt until you empty them.

Roomba will not replace your conventional vacuum--but it'll lengthen the time between your vacuuming chores.

It's good if you have extra money and set it up properly.
I'd wait for a few more years when they have Roomba's that can climb up walls to clean the ceilings.

That's what I'm thinkin'....

We got one and I think it's a pretty cool little invention. Can't wait to see the advances in this technology. I hate cleaning. Sher
