Anything in the business college is like that here. They have to have a cut off, if they say it's due at 5pm and you come at 5:15 to turn it in and they let you, then why shouldn't they let someone turn it in at 5:30? Or 6:00? BTW OP, hope everything works out for you.

When I was in college all my courses didn't accept late assignments... 1 min late you get a 0... no excuses

To clarify - I'm at my internship placement downtown today, across the city.

You guys are a team - just as much your responsiblity as his. You shouldn't have let him sleep in.

Hope he gets it in in time.

PS - I had to submit my University CS assignments electronically. If I was a millisecond late, they would be rejected and I would get a zero.

A lot of the other kids in the class would submit an hour or two early and then run "top" until the deadline passed. They would keep the space bar down basically killing the system so others couldn't finish/submit their work on time.

I would think the system admin would be able to easily tell who was abusing the system and those students would be facing disciplinary actions. I'm sure this sort of abuse is against whatever TOS/AUP they signed before getting their account. At least it was at my school. Perhaps your school had a more liberal computer use policy.
