Rookie Computer Build

Hello, I am a new system build rookie. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on picking a fan cooled computer case for 120 dollars or less (I'm a student). Any new or old schools of thought on cooling strategies related to fan and hardware placement would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would suggest a cooler master 690 case for your budget. It is actually one of the better cases regardless of price. I have a cooler master atcs 840 for my living room computer and I love it but it cost me $220. I saw a cm 690 on newegg for like 79 dollars recently. I have one of these in my office and it will fit all the current video cards so that won't be a problem either. On fan placement just try to make sure you have a close to even ratio of fans pulling air to fans exhausting air. I actually had a fan in every possible place on my atcs 840 case and did some research and found I was actually creating negative pressure in my case. I removed one of the top mounted 230mm fans and actually increased my airflow and dropped my processor temps by 3c. Hope this helps.
