Ronaldinho

Does anyone have video of this goal?

http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/12/06/sports/soccer.php

Everyone expects Ronaldinho to try his trademark free kick, looping the ball up and dipping it over that human wall. The only question is: Will he steer the ball for the top left or top right corner?

There is a hush in the arena. Bremen goalie Tim Wiese makes up his mind not to be tricked by the eyes of the Brazilian who is a master at looking one way and shooting the other.

At the moment of impact, the tall men in the Bremen wall rise. Almost all of them are off the ground. Ronnie fools them all. He side-foots the ball with his right instep, underneath the wall. Wiese, himself 1.93 meters, or 6-foot-4, in height, cannot reach down quickly enough to stop it entering his goal.

While I know what is going on, why must EVERY YouTube video look like complete ass? You can't even see the ball when he kicks it.

I don't think it's real.

i think it might be real too...after seeing some other soccer players try it...

i know powerade has these commercials that look real, but are fake (e.g. lebron james, andy roddick, etc), but nike usually has real stuff. remember that tiger woods video that everyone said was fake (bouncing the golf ball around)? it turned out to be real...this might be similar

I don't think it's similar. That Tiger Woods commercial is just a juggling act. Impressive? Yes. But not hard to believe.

It's real - I've seen him do similar things on football shows that have nothing to do with advertising.

check out this article from the BBC...it's in portuguese though, so you'll have to run it through a translater

from what i can tell ronaldinho was being interviewed about the commercial, and he swears it's real...but the reporters dont' believe him hahaha

According to the comments on the video, Nike admitted that the video was fake. I haven't gone and checked that claim out myself, but even without doing so, I'd be inclined to say it's fake.
