pretty cool, I watched some of his other videos, is this dude for real? his voice is weird sounding and he's always squinting. On one of them he said "Somebody commented on my video and said my beat was wack, now I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing..." lol. He looks like Drew Cary in a Beanie. Seems to have some pretty good keyboard playing skills, dunno if I'd buy his CD though.
 
Thanks! I remember seeing that guy months and months ago! I wanted to hear his stuff again, but didnt know his name! He's pretty talented!
 
This dude is awesome. I hope that he has someone that is wisely managing him because he has a lot of potential.

I watched a couple videos, and he does seem a little simple. Maybe it's just his shtick for Youtube, but he doesn't seem all together.

lol it's more than the giant glasses. His voice, what he says, the weird smile he always seems to have. And the fact he said in a video he didn't know if wack was a good or bad thing. My dad isn't hip at all, but I think if I told him his shirt was wack he'd know to go change it.

Dude seems kind of simple, but he has talent and obviously enjoys playing. I can only imagine he spends most of his time playing. I wouldn't want to be his roomate. Talent or not, hearing him bang out his Rocky Remix for the 50th time during the day might get a little old 😀
 
I think I'll buy his album when I get the extra money. I said it wasn't my style, but I keep going back and watching more vids :^D

His attitude's awesome, and he's exactly the kind of musician I like supporting.
 
Bill Simmons (ESPN's "The Sports Guy") loves him! Simmons actually incorporated his music into the intro for his podcasts.
 
Yeah there have been some previous threads on him --- I really like his beats, though it's obvious he's putting on a 'character', it doesn't matter, music is great

EDIT: I 'knew' it was an act before I read/saw any info on it.

I watched the video and all it proved to me was he uses a name that's not his. So does Alicia Keys, and uh, many other performers. I love all the youtubers who are going "I know it was an act all along!!" trying to be cool or something. I have met "special" people and if this is a character, it's not exaggerated to real people I've met. This is assuming it is in fact a character. I don't think it's an act myself, believe it or not there are plenty of real life Ronald Jenkees dudes in the world.
 
I learned about this guy from AT, and he's got some pretty cool music. Who cares if his persona and presence is manufactured?
