To be fair, there is a difference between the two - I'm not sure how old the poll numbers are, but Giuliani, at least until recently, was doing well nationally vs. other Republicans.

He's still polling as the #3, I believe with somewhere between 10 - 15 % of the vote. Ron Paul is polling around 3 - 5%.

BlinderBomber has some great points - Ron Paul zealots come off a lot like Macintosh zealots. They spend hours and hours, pages and pages bemoaning how everyone else is wrong and how they are the only ones with the TRUE solution. Just look at the RP signatures - claiming RP to be the only hope for a Free America, the only chance...the only this and that.

He's a relatively obscure politician who holds relatively extreme views and has a somewhat murky past. I think he has some really fantastic ideas, and I think that some of his ideas are pretty moronic and short-sighted.

I would argue that anyone who hangs on to every word of any particular candidate is setting themselves up as a blind-follower.

They would rather be spoon fed the "facts" than have to think about anything for themselves.

That is why we continually end up with candidates who speak in nothing more than sound bites and who have no real plan for fixing any of our problems. They seek power solely for the sake of having power, not to actually serve the people.

So let me guess....
Now all of a sudden anybody who supports Ron whats his name is an itellectual......

things that make you go hmmmm.....

Do you have trouble remembering his last name? Hint, it's one syllable, and it's about as easy to write as his first name.

What movie was transafromers again?

Intellectual? Not necessarily.

Better informed than the knuckle draggers who tend to vote on emotion or sound bites instead of actual issues? Yes.

Now looking at these candidates and the way they handle the simple finances of their campaign- how do you think they will handle the government's budget as they go up on the podium and make all their promises about the economy?

Wow, if those numbers mean anything it makes me think Romney will be a horrible President.
Look at the debt, he's throwing everything he can at becoming President. How's he going to pay that back? Well, besides becoming President and giving kickbacks.
Plus, spending like that just reeks of desperation and a gambler.

Well, I think RP should have moved to a different state and toned down his religious thoughts.... As we don't want "ANOTHER" bush for our president. Besides all this talk, I think RP was the best candidate by far for the Righties.... I wouldn't vote for him.... But, that's just me....
