Ron Paul considering running for U.S. Senate

I don't think it's a good idea, because he'd not only not win, he'd lose his House seat. Plus, he'd be a 17th Amendment Senator.

Debra Medina only got like 20% of the vote in the primary when she ran for Governor of TX. I wasn't too happy when she didn't win.

Ron Paul would be good for the Senate by offering a libertarian view. He has no real power in the House.

Ron Paul chairs the House Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology Subcommittee which oversees the Federal Reserve. If he does not try and abolish the Federal Reserve and move back to a gold standard then he is just all talk and no action.
