Not only did he come in a strong third just behind Huckabee, he collected more votes than Romney, Thompson, Giuliani, Hunter and Tancredo... COMBINED!

RP has a real shot to pull this thing out now. All we need is for true patiots and people who truly love this country to come out in Texas... RP's home state! That's where the come-back will begin. Once we prove he can win the the movement will be unstoppable! First Texas, then the White House!

Paul is guaranteeing that the neocons go down in flames this year. He has caused enough conservatives to wake up and realize that their party has been hijacked by people with a decidedly ANTI-conservative agenda. Even if he causes 5% of republicans to vote third party or to abstain from voting, that will be enough to defeat Mccain...and put an end to the neoconservative big government "lets change the world with force" philosophy.

That will be his legacy...and that's good enough for me. ;)

Sounds good to me. It's time for a change in direction hopefully we are seeing it happen.

If there's one good thing about the Bush presidency its they way the neocon movement has been pushed back for a longtime.

This parody/sarcastic thread is no better than the annoying (lack of content) pro-RP threads.

I respectfully disagree.

1. After having this forum spammed by endless Ron Paul threads, maybe some Ron Paul supporters need to eat an extra helping of crow even if it must be force fed.

2. Despite his followers who can't be faulted for any lack of zeal, Ron Paul is still in the race
long after his more timid brethren have wimped out. Although I disagree with most of the Ron Paul message, I still have to respect Ron Paul for going on still speaking his mind. At least Ron Paul supporters got their money's worth for their donations as a voice from the wilderness can't be suppressed.

3. Eighty years ago, isolationists in the Republican party dominated. And now the GOP is the party of a belligerent foreign policy and foreign wars. And the GOP's all but certain nominee in 2008 will be John the hawk McCain who is willing to stay in an Iraqi quagmire for a 100 years. Although not definitive, Al Sadr now threatens to end the six month Mahdi army truce. Which is just one of many scenarios in which the slogan of the "surge" could end in dismal failure if Iraqi violence comes back with a vengeance. Meanwhile GWB&co continues to run up ever more debt while a silent John McCain says nothing. The point being, if there is a major recession and Iraqi war violence ramps up, McCain will be a certain loser in November and Ron Paul will be looking awfully good in 20-20 hindsight.

4. It was Ron Paul supporters who spammed this forum and not Ron Paul himself. His ideals
which are not really his own will continue to live on in American politics. In terms of ideas eighty years out of date or the ideals of the future, thats something we must all judge in our own way.

Yeah, RP did that all by himself. It had nothing to do with everybody being fed up with the Neocons.

RP is a nobody, was a nobody, and will always be a nobody, because he's a fricking loon.

Everybody who is informed knows what the problems are and wants to fix them. However, it takes a very rare (but unforunately still too common) loon to portray the problems like he does. His ideas are the most extreme ones and thankfully, won't be enacted.

The "how" is the important part on fixing something.
Also, maybe if the Paul followers had tempered their fanaticism with common sense, then maybe they wouldn't be regarded as such nutjobs. Unlike these examples:
Example 1
Example 2
Paulsies fall for fake news report of non-existent speech being canceled

For a moment I thought it was for real.
Then I saw it was posted by Whoozyerdaddy.
Good job on posting before the Ron Paul bots got their marching orders on how to spin their devasting loss.
Hmmm. Maybe they did?

LK says Ron is a loon because well it's in his best interest for everyone to continue with the current monetary system of Fiat currency and hyper inflation. It's ok LK you can admit it, others think Ron Paul is a loon because he doesn't want our troops spread out all over the world, well because it's expensive and kinda stupid really. We are the policemen of the world, but that doesn't mean we should be.

Ron Paul's ideas aren't loony it's the world we live in that has become "loony". We "Paultards, Paulites, Paulistas, or now Paulsies" have lost this battle no doubt about it. It's just 1 battle, we are not defeated. I didn't get into this thinking that Ron Paul would be the next president of the United States. I got into this thinking that more people like myself and Ron Paul needed to get involved in the process of our governance. To use an Obama line we can affect change, "yes we can". We have very clear directions now to head from here, this was not a campaign this was a Revolution.

Ooohhhh, the boogieman of "hyper inflation" is dragged out to scare all of the kiddies. You go nutball! Make those unwashed masses afraid. Compare them to Wiemar Republic or South American inflation rates. That really makes you seem like a rational person to the intelligent people.

What you don't get is that's exactly why you'll never go anywhere. Why your "battle" will always be lost and the "war" will never go anywhere. Because people like me will always be willing to say you're a fricking loon for using hyperbole and scare tactics.

Do you even know what "hyperinflation" is? It's certainly not 5% and it certainly won't hit anywhere near the threshold for consideration of "hyperinflation". Hell, even back in the late 70s and early 80's wasn't "hyper".

As far as "world police", the idiotic idea of pulling out of the world failed many times. The first time it failed was during Jefferson's term, when he thought European problems were European problems, thus we should be able to stay neutral, pull out of the situation, and keep everything isolationist. That failed horribly and led us into the War of 1812. That stupidity was compounded upon by Harding after WW1, when we had the opportunity to temper world idiocy which eventually lead to the ascencion of Hitler.

Yes, isolationism has worked so fricking well in our past. It lead to two major wars, one in which our own President's house was burned down, another where we lost tens of thousands of lives. All because we thought we didn't need to be in anybody else's business.

Keep it up sparky, you and your gold idolator's moronic ideas will lead us down the path to another major war.

LK you are an incredibly busy guy do you know that? Unfortunately for you as you attack in this forum, and on youtube and on other forums we're out flanking you. I consider this hyperinflation, in the 70's my mother made $80 a week and that was considered a good salary. Now $800 a week is barely considered a decent salary. You say me telling others of this is a "scare tactic" no LK it's just simply the truth. David Walker doesn't go around the US telling people we are in severe economic trouble because he's trying to scare them into action, he's simply providing sanity in an insane world.

It was intervention that led to Hitler, and I'm not suggesting Isolationism. I'm suggesting diplomacy and free trade. Neutrality is in our best interest. It's ok LK, relax what you say and do in the forum and others will not affect what's going to happen, we will be a strong nation of peace and prosperity again with or without you.
