It's ok LK you can admit it, others think Ron Paul is a loon because he doesn't want our troops spread out all over the world, well because it's expensive and kinda stupid really. We are the policemen of the world, but that doesn't mean we should be.
Ron Paul's ideas aren't loony it's the world we live in that has become "loony". We "Paultards, Paulites, Paulistas, or now Paulsies" have lost this battle no doubt about it. It's just 1 battle, we are not defeated. I didn't get into this thinking that Ron Paul would be the next president of the United States. I got into this thinking that more people like myself and Ron Paul needed to get involved in the process of our governance. To use an Obama line we can affect change, "yes we can". We have very clear directions now to head from here, this was not a campaign this was a Revolution.
Ooohhhh, the boogieman of "hyper inflation" is dragged out to scare all of the kiddies. You go nutball! Make those unwashed masses afraid. Compare them to Wiemar Republic or South American inflation rates. That really makes you seem like a rational person to the intelligent people.
What you don't get is that's exactly why you'll never go anywhere. Why your "battle" will always be lost and the "war" will never go anywhere. Because people like me will always be willing to say you're a fricking loon for using hyperbole and scare tactics.
Do you even know what "hyperinflation" is? It's certainly not 5% and it certainly won't hit anywhere near the threshold for consideration of "hyperinflation". Hell, even back in the late 70s and early 80's wasn't "hyper".
As far as "world police", the idiotic idea of pulling out of the world failed many times. The first time it failed was during Jefferson's term, when he thought European problems were European problems, thus we should be able to stay neutral, pull out of the situation, and keep everything isolationist. That failed horribly and led us into the War of 1812. That stupidity was compounded upon by Harding after WW1, when we had the opportunity to temper world idiocy which eventually lead to the ascencion of Hitler.
Yes, isolationism has worked so fricking well in our past. It lead to two major wars, one in which our own President's house was burned down, another where we lost tens of thousands of lives. All because we thought we didn't need to be in anybody else's business.
Keep it up sparky, you and your gold idolator's moronic ideas will lead us down the path to another major war.
