Because he's an adult who believes in the liberal system of, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The filmmakers apparently wanted to inflict as much damage on Muslims as possible, and they used a weapon that is apparently terribly effective on that particular community while costing them next to nothing and being largely protected from retaliation. They could have been adults and tried to be productive rather than destructive, but they chose the childish route instead.

I'm partial to the childish route myself. But I don't try to start a World War with it.

This is a similar situation, except the person exercising his freedom of speech wasn't the one who paid the price, and the ones who did didn't just get a black eye, they were killed.

There's no reason you can't criticize both parties. It's not unamerican. I'd say that not criticizing a film that led to the deaths of multiple Americans is dangerously arrogant and not at all presidential.

What video that attacked Christians are you referring to? There are probably hundreds of them but show me a video that attacks Christians that leads to the death of American citizens and I'm sure Barack Obama will be the first person to condemn it. If it is some Michael Moore type bs that ultimately just gets people riled than no I think it would be beneath him to comment on it.

You have to remember fundie Islamists are crazy and you don't know what is going to set them off. No one is gonna lock you up for making that video but it is better to just not stir the pot with them. I think that is the right approach when dealing with them.
