Under Paul Ryans Plan, Mitt Romney Would Pay Virtually No Taxes
Romneys new running mate proposed eliminating the capital gains tax in his 2010 Roadmap for Americas Future. Since Romney, like many ultra-wealthy Americans, derives virtually all of his income from investments, he would pay virtually no taxes at all under such a plan.
The Atlantic crunched the numbers on Romneys 2010 tax returns, the only one hes made public, and found that Romneys tax rate that year would be just 0.82 percent under Ryans proposal.
Now I am not saying that Romney chose Ryan so he wouldn't have to pay any taxes next year.
I think Mitt is just planning for a comfortable retirement when Ryan becomes President.
