rome total war is the best game ever made

I need to pick that up sometime soon. I'm still in love with Civ 3 and Rise of Nations, and this looks like another great torch bearer in that same genre.
 
You know, I have Medieval Total War and although its a cool game and was given excellent marks in reviews, I just couldn't really get into the game. I wish I could because it is a really awesome looking game, but I can't seem to do more than play some of the instant action battles.

it plays fine on my pentium-m 1.4 ghz/1 gig/radeon 9000 notebook

Not really. More like Civilization combined with an RTS. The Total War series is pretty unique though and you can't just explain it in so few words. Try it out for sure🙂
