Anyone ever do any research on Roman armies or the weapons and formations of them?

any info would help out alot

Did you watch the movie Gladiator... they did allot of history when doing that movie.

That is all the weapons you can handle in that... Read up on Atilla the Hun he helped with some of the destruction of the Roman Empire.

Here's an excellent book off my shelf, see if you can check it out of a library:
The Roman Imperial Army of the First and Second Centuries A.D., by Graham Webster (3rd Edition), University of Oklahoma Press, 1998. It's one of those "everything you wanted to know about the Roman Army but were afraid to ask." Fascinating book.

There are also plenty of excellent Videos avaiable. I don't know whether you can loan out videos from your local library, but there are some that are definitely worth watching.
