i stared blankly for awhile, but couldn't determine how I should respond. This is a dilemma, as my presence isn't justified nor deserved in this here thread... but here I am.

Terrible joke. It's obvious you made this up yourself as it doesn't have any logical flow to it.

Why would anyone want to split a sea in half? A joke has to have some kind of context to make it flow better.

Here's a better joke:

Eclipse it. (obviously it's better spoken than written)
 
In keeping up with the quality of jokes in this thread, I offer this:

Two vultures board an airplane; each is carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion allowed per passenger."
