I've just finished some Doom3 Benchmarks, thought some of you may be interested.
System: A64 3000+/MSI K8T Neo/Reference 6800NU/1 GB Corsair CAS 2.5 (all stock speeds)
All benchmarks run on High Quality, which defaults to 8X AF.
6800NU .................................6800GT.............GT @ NU 325/700
10X7 4X8X 52.9fps .................64.3...........
12X10 0X8X 60.7FPS.................70.4..........62.8
12X10 2X8X 50.6FPS.................61.5..........52.0
12X10 4X8X 36.6FPS.................47.1........37.6
16x12 0X8X 46.9FPS..................57.6.......49.5
16x12 2X8X 38.4FPS................. 48.1.........40.0
16x12 4X8X 4.9FPS ..................35.7..........28.0
All benchmarks application controlled, everything on, nVidia 61.45 drivers set to "Quality".
I also tried controlling AA through the nVidia control panel and received the same results as controlling through the application.
As you can see, the 6800NU provides some serious 12X10 Doom 3 "bang for buck". My 6800GT arrives tomorrow, will repost these results in this thread using that card on Wednesday if anyone is interested in the difference.
The 6800GT also provides serious bang for the buck at Doom 3. IMO, the 6800NU is a great 12X10 Doom3 card, and the 6800GT is a great 16X12 Doom3 card.
