Sure thing. They seem to know their stuff. At least one of them posts at B3D, IIRC, and their articles definitely get more technical than most (witness the latency investigation). I hold them up there with 3DC and B3D in terms of 3D knowledge, and I just like their graph colors.

Their English site is at BeHardware.com, but it obviously takes time for them to translate their articles.

Er, that price is firmly in the high-end in my book. Yeah, it's about 15% cheaper than the $560 BFG 7800GTX I ordered from Best Buy, but much more than 15% slower, so the price/performance isn't even in the same league. And that's at the high end where usually the higher you go the WORSE the P/P gets.

That leads me to believe ATi is more interested in sharing in the high margins nVidia enjoys than trying to decrease margins through price wars. Just an observation.

Hey Rollo, thanks for the benchmarks. I just got my 2x 7800 gtx's from BGF and they're freakin awesome. I upgraded from my 6800 gt's sli and I do notice a big difference in games like farcry with hdr on at high rez. I play all my games on 1600x1200 with everything cranked full blast and man these are sweet cards. Thanks.

I just tested F.E.A.R demo with my pathetic 9600xt, and came to a conclusion that 7800gtx SLI is needed to run it at highres and full detail..

It's non-biased because I judge and predict based on history. History shows Nvidia a cheat and ATi a true performer. Go home, fan boy.

So, are you basing this off of you working at ATI and having inside info about ATI's next generation VPU relative to NVIDIA's G70 or are you basing this off history?

Also, how do you know or why do you think that NVIDIA's G70 was rushed? G70 seems to be nice piece of hardware and a solid performer for it being so rushed.

If you are saying that G70 was rushed only because ATI's 520 isn't available yet, I think that's a poor definition of rushed.

Oh, and since you are taking all questions, why does everyone, including you GhandiInstinct, insist on calling anyone who has a different prefference or opinion than they do a "fan boy"?

I don't think it was rushed. In fact I think NV had even more time to work on it because they did not waste any time this year on a refresh like ATI did with the X850 series.
So NV had more time to focus on the 7800's. IMHO

Probably the case. That and NVIDIA saw they would finish the G70 so soon they just went with that.

Either way G70 doesn't look rushed and NVIDIA's "work ethic" appears solid.

NVIDIA's Next Gen should be even more impressive using the same logic.

I hope ATI fires back to keep NVIDIA going. :evil:

You are arguing fact right now. The 7800GTX is the undisputed champion as ATI has not released its next gen yet. You cannot argue proven fact. I dont play Doom 3 much so i was going on what i thought was last months experience.
I tried it again and your right. it does stutter considerably.
So youeah your right...........i was playing it at AA4x16AF nicely anyway though.
And i will say again........shame about the game itself, i dident like it enough to even finish it.

I dont know why but I dont get offended much by everyone else other than Rollo.
I couldent care less about what hardware people had as long as they were able to see more than one sided.

The price you got it for, is not the normal price from BB.

You can say the same thing about the 6800U PCI-E, with the price/performance percentage. Funny how you didnt.
