Anandtech is highly respective fora from the old days. This is the video forum. If someone has a request he can post at Forum Issues. Not in here.
I have nothing against Rollo, and I can understand that sometimes we can make a joke even in here..
But this is becoming rediculous. Regardless of my opinion about Rollo being a mod, I'm a little dissapointed seeing that mods allow this to happen in frequent terms. It lowers the quality of these fora

post count does not indicate intelligence or age so no need for the history or forum directory assistance thnx

and as far as rollo ive read his posts,..i dont think he has said anything wrong,...so im assuming THATS why the mods allow it,..ive seen him post the latest from nvidia,..and it happened to be good,..and it is so what,...and ive seen him post the latest from ATI,..and it happened to be sh!ty news,..and it was so what,...he didnt say anything that isnt real,...its just not what some wanted to hear,....well i say WAAA thats life never what you wanna hear,...so if someone says somethin you dont wanna hear its disrespectful somewhow? i say thats BS,...and a tad immature from my point of view

This is mostly a tech fora, not a place to post BS whenever someone wants... After all we have an OT forum for these purposes... Lighten up? WTF r u talkin about? I'm not pissed. I'm dissapointed... If I want to laugh and post BS all the time I would go OT, or go out with my GF or my friends and have some good times.. Is this so hard for you to understand?

I won't post my opinion about Rollo.. My objection was about the BS I read frequently in Video forums lately... Again this is a video forum in a serious site..

I don't think we need any more moderation than we already have. I still can't figure out why people report posts in FI or complain that someone is trolling, flaming, baiting, or called someone a name. Too many posters out there have forgotten that they posess a power much greater than any mod can give-- the power to IGNORE what someone writes.

There are too many requests for "ban" for silly things like a personal attack or trolling. IMO bans should only be handed out for outright threats or if someone bombs the f-word like they're on an episode of Deadwood. Most of the video forum issues could easily be cleared up with a good dose of common courtesy, intelligence, and maturity.... all of which, I will admit, seems to be in short supply these days. But that's not a reason to give up on it.

Buck the trend. Agree to disagree. Enjoy a good, logical debate. Discuss content, not attack posters. We really shouldn't even be needing to talk about this, that's the sad part.

I think if Rollo did truly want to become a video mod, a good place to start would be coming up with a slogan for himself that's not based on a complete lie. Heck, even "unfair and unbalanced" would make me more likely to approve of him being a mod - at least his bias would be acknowledged!
