If it is *free* why don't they actually use the word "free" somewhere?

It almost sounds like they'll send you a bill.

This is same as signing up at the magazines websites. You get a bill after first two months. If you dont want it then you have to write cancel and return it.

Yeah, you subscribe to Rolling Stone, than it says congratulations, you qualified to receive Men's Journal for free as well.

First off, props to cahwis for two years of free subscriptions to two magazines without the use of a credit card.
Second off, what's the catch (why are they doing this?)

Prolly to spam you with advertising. Not to mention all the advertising that's in the mag.
