i think emperial(sp?) is the british version. which is similar to the american but not always. like the gallons are slightly different volumes. etc.

Dug is Correct. I think it's just the Gallon thing where we differ. The English Gallon is bigger at around the 5 litre mark. I think the US gallon is more like 4ish litres.

Anywho, a gram of ham is not going to make a very hearty sandwich!

Has anyone ever played Roller Coaster Tycoon? Since it's essentially a British game, you can choose between "Metric" units and "Imperial" units.

No the American system is NOT called Imperial. You contradict yourself in the next sentence. It is the (old) English system of weights and measures.
 
The british use metrics now. It's only a question of time before you change, so i can tell you i'm 85 Kg and 1.93 meters.
That's 85.000 gram.
