Rolex Watch $12,500

sucks when some low life thug chops off your arm just for your watch, that costs as much as a car... but u deserve it, u dirty enron executive.

enwrong: capitalism bass ackwards

When I see the Patek Phillipe brand of watch I think of the movie Trading Places with Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd.

<<yawn>>

Rolex. Catchy name--sounds like the head of a tapeworm, though. And how would I know if this is a repost? I don't come slumming that often, you know.

Personally, I wouldn't be caught DEAD in anything less perfectly fitted than a custom Patek Philippe watch. My motto has always been: "Never wear a watch less costly than your car," so it really caught my eye a few years ago when I saw a Patek ad that had a picture of a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and the slogan: "Just think, for the mere price of this car, you could own a really fine watch."

I've never forgotten that slogan. Check out the Patek Philippe web site. And remember, if you have to ask how much it costs, you really can't afford it.

Ah, yes. I see belatedly that RussianLD has some taste in timewear. But the link-- it's to a watch that costs less than some Corvettes! How droll--I guess even Patek Philippe has "sold out" to economic pressures, and now has a decidedly cheaper line for the riff-raff who drive cars that cost under 100,000 pounds sterling. Well, he's just lost MY business--imagine, pandering to the poor people with a $41,000 watch!!!:disgust:

I see your point, but I don't believe these watches are worth their price. The only reason they are so expensive is because a small group of very boring people put a high price on it, so that the rest of us cannot possibly afford it. Plus, if you actually buy one of these watches, your just falling for the trap that the companies have worked so hard to create, and that trap would be to convince you that you will be different from someone else because you buy a watch that costs a lot, and has an old school name behind it.

I would much rather not buy a watch nor wear one, because I do not want to be restrained by the boundries placed upon me by my fellow man.

<< find me a Patek Philippe fake, now THAT would be HOT! >>

new york, washington dc......

for $15 sometimes you can haggle down to $5 for a couple watches...

they last about a couple month before the 'gold' wears off.

Is there still that 20 dollar off coupon at ashford, if there is im gonna get this watch. if not i'll stick to my bolex from the swap meet.
