Whew.. looks like Federer is gonna survive after being down 2 games. Would have freaked if he blew a chance at the slam against an unranked Haas. Stars should be aligned for him now that Rafa is gone, he has only himself to blame if he doesn't roll from here on.

For whatever reason, Nadal couldn't get many ground strokes much beyond the service line, which is when he's the most vulnerable. The few times I've seen him lose, this was the case each time (altho his first serve really sucked yesterday too.)

The announcers kept mentioning the windy conditions being a big part of why Nadal lost, but it's hard to see that when watching it on TV and I can't imagine him not being able to overcome that. From what I could see Soderling was just overpowering him with his forehand and Nadal wasn't able to set up for those tricky shots that he places so well. First serve suckage hurt too I'm sure but he should be able to overcome that as well, even though it helped contribute to 5 breaks. Incredible.. Federer has a hard enough time holding serve against him, then someone like Soderling breaks him 5 times.

Wow. I don't know who to root for now. Both he and Verdasco lost and they were headed for a quarterfinal matchup.
Root for Roddick. Poor guy was even beaten to the altar by Federer.
Roddick won in the wife hotness department though, haha.
Roddick is cool but Monfils won me over with that dive. Looking forward to their matchup tomorrow.
I don't want Federer to win Roland Garros, I'll root for him at Wimbledon.

Djokovic was not really an upset. Although he was the 4th seed, he was never a threat in my opinion. Robredo would have crushed him or Del Porto.

Yeah I would like to see Roddick succeed. I think he works hard and deserves another slam.
But I am rooting for Federer I guess, or Tsonga cause his dad is African ...lol
Roger dodged one today.
