Yall seem to be ignoring the movies. anyone recall what vader did at the end of 3?
Apperantly one of the latest books cites the remnants of the separation forces as the foundation for forming the resistance.
I think the worst oversaturation and annoyingness came with Phantom Menace. But that's partially because the movie was aimed at 8 year-olds.I'm looking forward to this (even though I managed to avoid watching a single trailer). We will likely go on Saturday or Sunday matinee.
To be honest I assume the Star Wars brand is going to become over saturated and annoying eventually but we're not there yet so might as well have fun with it while we still can.
Review embargo over tomorrow.
Going to try to lay off the reviews as much as I can.
Definitely avoid reading the reviews. I made the mistake of reading them and related articles before I saw The Force Awakens, and a few of them gave away major plot points with no warning whatsoever. Assholes.
I went looking for aggregate scores from the reviews, and found none. Turns out the embargo lifts at 5 pm EST.Review embargo over tomorrow.
OMG -- I realize this is dense of me, but I just realized the whole push for "Hope" in the trailers and stuff ties in directly to "A New Hope"
deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerp
don't click on them? Please don't post early reviews here -- I think lots are trying to avoid.
don't click on them?
No shit? But you see where Slayer202 added text with his link?
Was just browsing this, http://www.starwars.com/films/rogue-one?cmp=emc|sws|natural|lucasfilm|2016-12-16|rogue-one and noticed that they weren't "regular" AT-AT in the trailer. Says they are a larger version called AT-ACT with increased cargo capacity.
