I hope this is an accurate synopsis:

"Also known as "Roger Rabbit 2: The Toon Platoon", after his human parents tell him he's a toon, Roger Rabbit must find his real parents, he goes to L.A., and finds a girl called Jessica, his future wife, then he gets sent to military to fight against the Nazi"

The same way they're going to make the rest of it happen, CGI. They probably won't even bother to use real animation like the original.

No good can come from this. The first movie was so brilliantly done that all they can do is ruin it.

Roger Rabbit THE RABBIT was not the main character of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Eddie Valiant was. Roger is the sidekick.

Also, *before* i go google this, is Robert Zemekis gonna direct?

Also, go watch some videos abotu how HARD was to make that film happen. From having Disney and WB characters in the same film, to the massive amount of animation, to the complexity of uniting animation with actors ..


..and finally, they are seriously gonna re-use Jessica Rabbit?? Does Bond recycle his Bond Girls?

It's only going to get worse from here on out. Consider all the things you loved growing up as potential targets for the utter laziness of future Hollywood output.

Just don't reward it with your money, that's the only reason these things get made is the guaranteed cash-grab from nostalgia.

Yes, Sylvia Trench was the Bond Girl in both Dr. No and From Russia with Love.

That aside, two reasons to keep Jessica: First, unlike Bond Girls, Jessica doesn't age. She can be just as hot now as she was then. And second, they got her right the first time, why go back to the drawing board if you can't improve upon it?

Ok first - i am shocked to have been told that bond does in fact recycle bond girls. however i believe my point still stands.

Jessica was great because she was A SURPRISE. This smookkking hot cartoon femme' fatale that, you didn't expect - and more so, you didn't expect her to be married to a rabbit.

See, Eddie Valiant's reaction to Jessica is "oh sh*.. this is trouble". Because Eddie is a film noire anti-hero. He's Bogart. He's Sam Spade. His initial reaction wans't lust, which is instead why JR would be brought back.

Remember that, we make heroes out of cursed characters in film noire. Rick doesn't get a happy ever after in Casablanca, he's gonna spend the rest of his life in loneliness, and die in a bottle, but he has accepted that he needs to be sacrificed at that altar which is Ilsa.
Eddie is an alcoholic who's only looking to make his life be worth a little more than nothing - which is why he helps Roger, because Roger is an innocent soul. (did you know Roger is actually killed in the original script? yeah)

You can't re-make a surprise. And JR isn't exactly the kind of character with depth - well, she deep somewhere, but, you know, not that kind of depth. You can't just bring her back because of the tits, man.

I'm saving my money for when they remake The Goonies, starring Josh Brolin as Andy, Scarlett Johansson as Data, and Rebel Wilson as Chunk.
