I beat him a few times. He does turn into a big monster and gets PISSED. I let him win from now on.

He already has 7 Grand Slam titles and he's only 24. He could easily be the best ever unless some freak accident happens.

You have to wonder if he's at his peak, of it he can get even better.

The shots he makes are so incredible. It's just insane how amazing his control is. He might turn out to be the best ever.

I think Federer would beat Sampras in 3 or 4 sets. Sampras had a great service game, but I doubt he could compete with Federer on ground strokes.

Sampras did this, too. He's definitely the best, most dominant player since pete, if he keeps it up he could be the best ever. Winning the French this year would really put him up there, 4 straight grand slams doesn't happen too often.

I hope we can keep seeing new younger players challenging him, I'm getting sick of Roddick being embarrassed every time they play. Baghdatis sure was fun to watch, he had a great run there. After the first set and a half, I thought he was going to do it. But, yeah, Federer turned into a monster.

I think Federer will be on top for maybe another year at least, unless Safin gets his act together. IMO Safin is the only one that has the potential be better than Federer right now but with the boozing and lack of practice he can't, Roddick went downhill, Nadal is too young, Hewitt can't stack up to Federer, and there really isn't anyone else that can come close.

I'm sure Sampras has beaten a few ground stroke power players in his time. :)

Sampras could take ground stroke players like Agassi, but I think Federer is a better all around player.

nowadays almost no one serves and vollies anymore.. coz the players are that much better in their groundstrokes.

I believe federer IS the best player ever. he has the game to win on clay.. sampras was just lame on clay

Federer has already proved he can stand up against serve and volley by destroying Henman
