rofl.. is there any health benefit to drinking scotch?

Being a scotch lover, I guess I want a convenient reason to drink them... are there any? I guess wine may be beneficial because of tanin which other liquors lack.

Oh btw, your highly-touted value scotch Maker's Mark isn't all that great... I've really wanted to like it, but it's okay. It tastes really coarse. I guess it's not fair since I'm drinking all 12 yo single malts then Maker's.

I'm drinking one now btw. 🙂

I got like 5 random ass PMs from bunch of nerd noobs. It's really sad. If you wanna PM a chick, that's actually FINE. Do it in myspace or facebook, not freaking ATOT.

And delicious.

I don't know. I actually trust ATOT's opinion quite a lot especially when many vouch for them, this time being Maker's Mark. It's really okay.

Glenlivet smells grape and is smooth as hell. Same goes for Cragganmore.

Unfair? Fine. I actually enjoy drinking Jack Daniels neat, it's coarse yet has a sweet kick in finish.

Maker's Mark... I just can't find what I like about it. I'm still drinking it now though.

I just had a great cheap bottle of scotch. Can't recommend the 8 yr Glen Garioch enough. Solid single malt for a low price. Auchentoshan is good too if its your first single malt.

I'm drinking some Macallan 12 as we speak, and I couldn't care less if it's beneficial or not.

That said, my mother always used to tell me they'd give kids with stomach issues some whisky to settle their stomachs. I don't know the validity of such a proposition nor am I going to Google it.

Other than that, who cares. Drink it in small quantities or don't. You shouldn't ever create a convenient reason to consume something that could ultimately deteriorate your health. If it's a vice you appreciate, fine; otherwise, move on. If you want something that's healthy to drink, try tea.

Macallan is better.

Glenfiddich is better

I'm just not a fan of Glenfiddich. For the Speysides, I think Glenlivet is much better and so is Macallan.

Everyone has their tastes, I guess. I strongly dislike Aberlour but love Lagavulin and Bowmore. I also think Famous Grouse is quite good, but it uses mostly a Gren Rothes malt from what I remember.

For me, it's all about the finish and Glenfiddich is full of fail in that respect, imo.

I was going start a parody thread but seeing that Zim is still awake....

Is there any health benefit to eating scotch tape?

Did you know its called scotch tape because it was developed cheaply and the people who tested it where racists who decide that the people who came up with the tape formula must have been Scottish?
