ROFL: "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed"

Why am I just now learning about this book?

A must buy for all parents!!!

Rush Limbaugh's enthusiastic endorsement has spiked sales of a new children's book that warns of the nefarious influence of liberals.

"Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!" is the title of the book from author Katherine DeBrecht. Limbaugh described it in these terms on his nationally syndicated radio talk show:

"It tells of two brothers who open a lemonade stand. Their plans to save up their hard-earned profits to buy a swing set go awry when a Ted Kennedy character taxes away their profits and a pantsuit-clad Hillary Clinton look-alike outlaws sugary drinks."

For her part, DeBrecht said she wrote the book in response to the bullying tactics of those on the political left.

"Liberals have been foisting their ideological agenda on our kids for years, and now they're beside themselves that someone would stand up to them," she explained. "Evidently, books about socialist fish and gay kings are OK, but a story about hard work and self-reliance is too extreme."

Edit: I think I should buy 1000 copies and donate them for Katrina relief!

for sake of our childrens sanity, lets keep them waaay out of politics

Life is politics! And with the Liberals brainwashing kids through MTV and kids' books about "Having Two Mommies" I say it's high-time for conservatives to come back swinging.

One liberal reviewer has this to say:

What a filthy load of brainwashing material this book (that can easily be recycled or burned, I might add) is! What has the picture book industry come to when trite like this can be publshed! I'll be crossing my fingers in hope that this book is boycotted and/or a favorite at book burning protests! Thanks! If only Amazon had a zero-star option!

Yay! Liberals are nothing but National Socialists...and they finally admit it!

Aye, it's a good thing so-called conservatives (You know, the conservatives who constantly brag about the amazing Republican party that is in no way conservative?) are so open-minded about books. They would never do things like ban books!

wow, nice flamebait thread.

'cause everyone knows that teaching tolerance is the devil's work.

"Help! Mom! There are liberals in my wallet" can be the teenage follow-up for kids who are just starting their first job! 😀

LOL @ the whiners in this thread calling it a troll thread. It's friggin hilarious although slightly disturbing that the book is real.

I guess I just don't see teh funnay.

I was going to laugh at Rush and his fanboys who were supporting this book, not realizing that the book was satire. Then I realized that the book was actually a real book, and for some reason that's even funnier.

This book is a good read. I reccomend it.

There is a joke to be made about zendari and gaining political insight from children's books, but frankly it kind of writes itself.

Shooting fish in a barrel is rarely considered a sport.
