I configured an Inspiron 6000 on the regular site, and through the EPP site. The thing was a few hundred cheaper without my "12%" discount. I guess they jack up the prices before giving a discount.

Yep. Noticed that a long time ago. The EPP thing is fine but not if you know about the coupons and specials and things like that. You might get a good deal on the models your company specifically sues, but on the standard models it's better to just check out the Hot Deals forums.

Our EPP with dell is fvcknig worthless. They actaully send us advertisements saying we can save $11 on a new PC. Not 11% -- $11.

Yeah, I've tried my EPP account too, not worth it. I don't think I've ever found it cheaper through that

Employees get 10% stackable coupons and occasionally 15% (like right now).

Even their $750 off laptop the last couple time sucks because they jack the prices on the configs that can use the coupon! Can't blame them for trying.... Jerks ;)

I want another sale like the very first time they had the $750 off $1500 coupon. I think you could configure any laptop however you wanted it.

Old thread I know, but I'm looking into our EPP with Dell for the first time. I am currently trying to determine with our Dell rep what we can and can't get discounts for.

Any success stories?

Well he told me to configure a system in Home and email him the cart.

So I did, we'll see *fingers crossed*.

I used an online coupon :D
