ROFL... Dell prices are cheaper without my EPP discount

I configured an Inspiron 6000 on the regular site, and through the EPP site. The thing was a few hundred cheaper without my "12%" discount. I guess they jack up the prices before giving a discount.

Yep. Noticed that a long time ago. The EPP thing is fine but not if you know about the coupons and specials and things like that. You might get a good deal on the models your company specifically sues, but on the standard models it's better to just check out the Hot Deals forums.

thats like stores have going out of business clearance sales. they jack up the prices, then put a sign up 75% off.

Our EPP with dell is fvcknig worthless. They actaully send us advertisements saying we can save $11 on a new PC. Not 11% -- $11.

yep...I configured a Dimension 3000 (about 2 months ago) w/ 17" FP LCD and a printer for like $350 after $100 mail in rebate....with the EPP it was like $700. Beyond worthless

Even their $750 off laptop the last couple time sucks because they jack the prices on the configs that can use the coupon! Can't blame them for trying.... Jerks 😉

I want another sale like the very first time they had the $750 off $1500 coupon. I think you could configure any laptop however you wanted it.

but which service do you get? the good service or the normal crappy home customer service?

Dell MSRP is bu11sh1t. Their sh1ts are alway on sale. BTW I got an Inspiron 6000 with all the options for under 1k delivered with $600 off $1,499 coupon.

Old thread I know, but I'm looking into our EPP with Dell for the first time. I am currently trying to determine with our Dell rep what we can and can't get discounts for.

Any success stories?

Well he told me to configure a system in Home and email him the cart.

So I did, we'll see *fingers crossed*.

I used an online coupon 😀
