What did I say that made you infer that I didn't wear a seat belt? Nothing, I called a law stupid, which it is. It is utterly pointless as the only person it affects is you. If you choose not to do something which doesn't affect me, why should I stop you?

Oh yes it does, when you are in an accident and are wearing a seatbelt you have better control of the car as you are going to be kept in place (my personal experience affirms this).

Beyond that injuries sustained during an accident means more healthcare costs..

so do the math, it does affect me when you are not wearing a seatbelt.
