Rodney King = dead

From the article, "King was an "avid swimmer,""

That fact doesn't really add or subtract anything from MotionMan's point. Unless he is so avid that people have to pull him away to keep him from going at it all night, and as he approached middle agedness, he didn't realize that he had not the stamina for it, resulting in exhaustion and death.

Look, he drowned almost certainly because he was high or drunk and passed out. He didn't just fall into his own pool and like damn I can't swim I'm gonna die. Also, nobody drowns from exhaustion in a back yard swimming pool because of a strenuous workout unless they do have a heart attack, but again I am sure chemicals played a role here.

This guy died in a bowl of dog water, which had nothing to do with his inability to swim but rather his inability to be conscious.

True, but everyone should still learn how to swim.

Heh. I came into this thread thinking Rodney Dangerfield "how could he die twice?"

LOL. Last night at dinner, my sister-in-law was saying how sad it was that such a funny person had died.

It took a few minutes for us to figure out she had turned "Rodney King" into "Rodney Dangerfield" in her head.

BTW, Rodney Dangerfield died in 2004.

i respect him, cause when those riots broke out, he was against it despite all his own folks telling him otherwise and hating him for saying to not riot or whatever.
is it just me, or does it seem only the poorest of people ever seem to be involved in riots?
They have a lot less to lose and a lot more to gain, as well as generally having more reason to be pissed at society. Of course, smashing peoples' businesses because you're mad at the cops isn't the best way to garner sympathy for your cause, but there are always plenty of opportunists who show up at a riot, as well as people who aren't good at focusing their rage productively.

Plenty of middle class people riot too, just for different reasons.

(Yes, it's satire, but it makes the same point in a much more amusing fashion than simply linking to multiple news articles.)http://www.thebrushback.com/Archives/ohiostriot_full.htm

Doesn't matter. Treyvon's plight is much more important these days. Long live Treyvon Martin's death!!!
Can't wait for Zimmerman to get off so this nation could get rocked once again.

HAHAHAHA That worthless POS died.

Wait...so was Rodney a worthless POS or where all the people who rioted worthless POSes? Like I hate the people who make every crime a "hate crime" or a "racial crime" but I don't hate the person who had the crime done to them.

I thought Rodney just got beat down and then a bunch of people rioted, but I don't blame Rodney for the riots....maybe I'm missing somethign though.

Maybe it's like the sims where someone removed the ladder and he couldn't get out.

Natural selection. Black people can't do grugs and swim. That privilege is reserved for rich white kids. Additional selective pressures should be found to eliminate more rich white kids.

Comparing the volume of water to the size of earth as a whole, water is but a sheet of paper wrapped around a balance ball. There really isn't that much water on earth.
