Rode down to Hillcrest today with a good friend of mine...

He's Croatian and lived there for many years when he first moved to this country and he likes the multicultural vibe of Hillcrest so we ride down there occasionally to visit friends of his and/or just have a coffee and a baked treat at Bread & Cie, which is fantastic.

You homophobe types wouldn't like it there but it's actually a really nice area.

I've really only been to Bread & Cie in Hillcrest a few times but it is worth the visit.

Grape jelly on a grilled cheese is actually really good. Just spread it on the top after the grilled cheese is done and eat away.

If you're gay you'd love it there. I saw two men kiss each other and nobody tried to kill them...it's shocking really that places like this exist in this country.

tell us something we don't know, it's like someone posting "Oh, I just went down to Castro distrcit today and had a jolly good time; oh PS, you gaybasher get be pissed cuz I had a jolly good time time, PSS: i am not gay, PSSS: really!"

That place is great. I like what Hillcrest, and all the other communities near hillcrest turned into. 10 years ago, that entire area was a place I wouldn't go ever. But now, that's where all the great food and events are. Hilcrest/northpark is a great place to live when you're young. It's close to downtown, and all the other cool areas of SD.

You like teh cawk?

Never tried it. Don't have any interest in trying it either.

I was talking to a guy I work with and mentioned the bakery, he said that is the best bakery in all of San Diego. I've been there a few times and have to agree with that statement.

And no, I have no vested interest in this place.
