Not really, the Palestinians have been at war with Israel since 1948 though, but they weren't Palestinians at the time.

Lets examine the situation since the ceasefire, Palestinians have fired about 3000 rockets into civilian cities, Israel has tried to stop them from doing so.

Now Hamas actively encourages groups to fire upon Israel and you WHINE when they try to stop them?

Our new found sensibilities about war and human rights actually prolongs conflict and suffering, whereas a wholesale slaughter of one side or the other is probably the quickest route to a sustainable peace in the region. The same can be said for areas racked by hunger and famine. Food donations to these areas probably prolongs the suffering instead of allowing the populations to reach, ie die, to sustainable levels. I'm certainly not advocating either approach btw.
