I purchased the case this weekend at the Seacaucus, nj store. It had 4 more left when I bought mine. This is the Newegg link of LIAN LI PC-A71. It is very similar to what you get with the Rocketfish. Newegg charging $259.99 + shipping. Another guy up the thread said he got it at the Paramus, NJ store. They may be the same. Go get 'em. It seems like a killer deal at $47.99.

you paid 47.99 at the secaucus store ?

Yes, go get it.

I'm on it STAT!

Did you get one?

Boy did I get lucky. After reading about this deal on Anandtech, I went to the Dedham, MA store and they had three in stock for $50 ea. I think people were put off by the condition of the boxes because the tape that Lian Li used was so cheap it caused the boxes to come open. They had to put a plastic strap around them to keep them closed. Once I got it home I verified that it was in fact new. But it got even better. Sitting right beside the case was the power supplies and they had the Antec Trio 650 for $63. So for $118 OTD I got a great case and PS combo.

If I recall correctly, the box is 29"x27"x12" and weighs 26 lbs. The dimensions put it into the "Oversize 2" class, which really jacks up the shipping charges. FedEx Ground (with tracking and insurance) is $35.48 from Dallas to New York or $23.84 from Dallas to Denver. Parcel Post (with no tracking or insurance) is $25.42 from Dallas to New York or $24.42 from Dallas to Denver.

nice deal anyone could buy one on my behalf and i'll pay for it + the shipping?

The Secaucus, NJ store still had 1 case this past Friday. If it is not too far, maybe you should take a quick drive over there.

I was at the Poughkeepsie NY store and they had a few marked down to 48.95 and happened to have my receipt with me, so I had her price adjust it. It was 31 days so she had to return it and resell it to me. Very helpful young lady, named Ashley, very hot as well. First really good experience with Best Buy cust service.

I had to email the guy http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/sys/629280093.html if this was the one from best buy!

What a douche!

We all should email the guy and ask if we can purchase it. Have him meet us up in a certain location and not show up.

After a coulple of no-shows, he'll think twice about what he's doing.

This one item seems to have taken the DIY computer builder crowd by storm. May not be the greatest deal ever, but it sure is a dandy. I purchased one from the Anchorage BB about a week ago. Put it together this week. I think I may have purchased the last one in the state of Alaska. It's the largest case I've ever owned, even larger than my Cooler Master Stacker 830. It's so easy to work inside it.

Folks, if you don't have ample free space in your computer room, don't even think about the LianRocketLiFish. If you do have the space and find a remaining case for under $100, don't even think about it, just buy it!

Trying to make a profit? So what who cares, if someone is dumb enough to pay his price, they deserved it.

I'm up for that.........if I was in cincinnati.

got one from my local bestbuy in chesterfield, MO last week for $49 plus tax. They still had 1 left and another bestbuy just 20miles away had another

I might be selling mine. They are a quality case, but it's too big for me. I'll list it in the For Sale area today.

I'm not going to be selling mine, but I agree...these cases are just way too big for what they offer right out of the box.

The problem appears to be with the efficiency of the internal layout relative to the 'real' LianLi PC-A71B, which actually looks leaps and bounds better.

6 x 5.25" and 2 x 3.5" external bays is overkill, forcing side by side x3 HDD cages and only one 120mm intake --- whereas the LianLi PC-A71B has 'only' 5 x 5.25" bays (0 x 3.5"), 2 x 120mm intakes, the HDD cages are stacked in the front as a tower for 6 drives, and on the other side there's two more 120mm fans to create a sort of 'wind tunnel' across the drives to further improve air intake/flow.

Then there's the curious repositioning of the motherboard 'tray' which is slightly shifted up compared to the LianLi PC-A71B, of which the PC-A71B has it shifted down allowing a lot of room in the top of the case for any potential modding and even comes default with an extra 120mm exhaust...

So this RocketFish is fairly similar, but it just feels far less efficient with less space on the bottom and top to work with, but for ~$50 I'm not going to feel too bad if I butcher it to death when attempting to mod it

Can any one confirm which 2-3 5.25" to 4-5 3.25" Hard Drive expansion kits fit in this case w/o major modifications? Thanks

Now reading more, would I be able to fit 2 of the EX-23 kits and still have room for 1 optical drive?
