I'm really trying to go to Rock Werchter in Belgium this year. So many bands I like are playing and I just need to get some different soil under these shoes.

I don't know anything about going there though. The information on their website is pretty much non-existant.

2 big questions I have: Is it cheaper to fly from NYC (where I am) to Paris and train to Brussels? I kinda want to stop by Paris anyways to see friends even if the money isn't a big savings or no savings.

Hotels? Stay in Brussels?

Trying to do this trip for relatively cheap but not like backpack cheap.

Anyone been to the concert? Any tips?

You can probably just fly to Belgium, Paris isn't much of a hub. If that is expensive, Copenhagen or Amsterdam are better bets. In fact you have no reason to go to Paris unless you want to see your friends.

If this is the same concert some Belgians told me about last year. . and I'm assuming it is because how many big rock festivals can Belgium have. . . camping is available there.

I just see deals to NYC to Paris for like $300-400, and the cheapest ticket I found to Brussels is about $1100. I need 2 tix. Is it expensive to go from Paris to Brussels? How long does it take via train (eurostar or something). Overall a few hundred hear and there doesn't bother me. I would like to stop in Paris 1 night/2days. Camping at concerts is a no go for me, not for 4 days... I'd rather pay the money to have a decent bed and a bathrooms I don't share with 30,000 others. I just don't know where to get the hotel, Brussels or I'm sure there is stuff closer to the event but it's probably wicked expensive.

Train takes about an hour and a half, you'd have to check their website for a price. You may be better off flying form Paris to Brussels because Europe train prices are ridiculous and I know the Paris-Brussels line is probably the shining star of the continent (maybe aside from London-Paris).
