Guitar Hero is an awesome game and people need to get over the whole "why don't you learn to play a real guitar" crap, just as much as the dopes who try to defend it with "why don't you join the military" idiocy.

It isn't idiocy. It is a logical reply when someone asks why I play a game where I pretend to be a rock star. In all games you pretend to be something so...stupid answers for stupid questions.

im really stuck on the 360 or ps3 version.....i think the live aspect may be better for 360..

Yeah I think only benefit for PS3 would be if you really care about wireless.

Preorder if you plan on getting it. I hear it isn't going to be widely available because they can't get enough instruments made quickly enough for the holidays.

I believe the biggest issue for B&M stores is that they don't want to over-order a game that's going to take up so much shelf and backroom space (pic of box & angry boy). So many EB/Gamestop-type stores will only get one or two over their pre-order number. It's anyone's guess as to what the Walmarts and Best Buys will do, though.

Drums being wired i can understand but guitar and mic should be wireless from the get go. We've already got wireless mics for everything else (except the Wii). Doesn't SingStar use a wireless mic too?

Drums being wired i can understand but guitar and mic should be wireless from the get go. We've already got wireless mics for everything else (except the Wii). Doesn't SingStar use a wireless mic too?

I remember reading a Harmonix rep saying that a mic such as the one everyone has for Xbox Live is not accurate enough to judge phonemes. Maybe it's easier/cheaper to make a high quality mic wired instead of wireless.
