Sucks that it's not on PS2... I already have 2 PS2 guitars and I want to keep them so I can play Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s.

And from what I hear will only be for the PS2 (GH 80's that is). Is that still accurate?

Yes, but the songs may be available as downloads for GH 2 on Xbox 360.

Yes, but the songs may be available as downloads for GH 2 on Xbox 360.

They better be, 'cause I want Wrath Child, Holy Diver, Ballroom Blitz, We Got the Beat (Yes, I'm a closet Go-Go's fan ), Electric Eye, Balls to the Walls, I Ran and Synchronicity II.

The release date for Rocks the 80's is the 17th, but that's the date they ship to stores... the actual street release date is the 24th. I'm hoping some stores around me will let a few copies out the door early

From what they are saying so far, the games won't show up as DLC on the xbox 360... they are saying PS2 exclusive, but that could just mean the "release" is ps2 exclusive.. I think it would be stupid of them to not release it for the xbox 360 as DLC. It's a cash cow... unless they are under contract or something to have those songs exclusively for the ps2.

I really hate the whole exclusive song thing... you shouldn't have to own 2 or 3 consoles to play all the songs available for your game...

At Gamestop, we have it in the computer as follows:

360:

$79.99 - The game and one guitar.
$199.99 - The game, one guitar, drum set, and microphone.

PS3

$59.99 - The game and one guitar.

I can't recall the price off the top of my head for anything else, but a quick look at gamestop.com should show up-to-date numbers. I can't figure out why all the PS3 SKU's are $20 cheaper, though. Either Sony has cut a deal with Harmonix/MTV, or Gamestop employees are completely wrong. I cannot imagine they are going to sell the game plus guitar for $60, though. Hell, even $80 for the bundle sounds like a great deal compared to what GH2 sold for on the 360.

Harmonix has already come out and said that those prices are bogus though, those numbers will change before it comes out.
