Joystiq PSP has the details, pics, and video.

- Coming out June 9 for $39.99
- In-game store
- Play 4 chords with the face buttons
- PSP bundle for $199.99 comes with 4GB memory stick and School of Rock download voucher

The following songs will be available for download from the in-game store exclusively for a limited time:

* 3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite"
* AFI - "Miss Murder"
* Alice in Chains - "Would?"
* Audioslave - "Gasoline"
* Black Tide - "Show Me the Way"
* Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again"
* Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk"
* Jackson 5 - "ABC"
* Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks"

Still looking for the list of songs that come with the game...

Your post is incorrect. It should read as follows:

"The following tracks will launch exclusively through Rock Band Unplugged on the PSP system for a limited time before becoming downloadable content for the other platforms:

3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite"
AFI - "Miss Murder"
Alice in Chains - "Would?"
Audioslave - "Gasoline"
Black Tide - "Show Me the Way"
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again"
Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk"
Jackson 5 - "ABC"
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks" "

Those games will be on the umd for rockband unplugged. They are not going to be downloadable tracks. That's from the official press release.

Just basing my post off of what Joystiq wrote.

Rock Band Unplugged will be the first PSP title to have a "fully-featured in-game store," through which several songs -- listed below -- will be made available exclusively for a limited time before being released across the entire Rock Band platform.

I'd trust a post from the makers of the game over a post on Joystiq.

Edit: Here's more proof for you.

Edit 2: Here is some more info on the game as well as an ingame video.

Ugh... horrible. Completely ruins the point of RB. The best part about the game is the near feeling of playing an instrument, playing with a group of friends, tons of DLC (which may still happen here who knows) and cranking that stereo up for your favorite tracks.

Uhh. Calm down. I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just pointing out where I got the faulty info.

Well, I don't know how you could recreate any of that with a handheld. I don't even think the DS version of Guitar Hero did it well with the attachment and using the touchscreen.

This is like a mash-up of Rock Band and Frequency.

You should be able to hook up the Rock Band instruments to your PSP. :laugh:

I think the big problem with the DS was the Guitar Grip was awkward to use. At least that's what a lot of the reviewers said. It sold well enough though. It is less than the console version but that's not exactly portable. This could be a fun time waster if done right.

I'd like see someone use the "Harmonix doesn't milk the franchise's cash cow" argument in the next Guitar Hero vs Rock Band debate 😛

3 Rock band games. 9001 Guitar Hero games. I think it still applies.

It's a different platform.

Also - the new songs in the PSP version that aren't on the consoles will be released on the consoles as DLC.

Synergy.

I think it absolutely still applies. Check out the difference in their game release roadmaps.
