Lots of great bands out there, if you know where to listen.

Stay away from the TV, or the Radio. They only play what is popular and what makes money, not what is considered talent or good music!

Try satellite radio. It will open you to a world of new and old music that you wouldn't know about through radio or tv.

Metal and rock are still extremely popular in some parts of the world. :)
There are lots of non-English bands worth listening to.

Actualy Keith Richards died in the late 70s. Thankfuly, whomever they got to re-animate his corpse did a good job.

Many people from the late 70s, through the 80s and 90s have written a eulogy to rock, only to see rock bounce back.
