Robotech DVD's (not the box set) Volumes 1 & 2 $9.99 Each @ Fry's

Saw it in my local Fry's B&M ad this morning. The box set is $29.99, but for you cheapies out there, the individual DVDs are just $9.99 each, with six episodes per DVD, 150 min. total per DVD of great classic American cartoonage.

It's not american cartoonage but a japanese cartoon that is americanized. Seriously though, this is a good deal for these DVD's. Don't expect DVD quality, but it's nice to have in a DVD format. It really looks like you are watching from a VCR but that's ok. I still have all my VHS tapes for the series. Why is the 3pack $29.99? The special extra CD is not worth it IMO so just buy these 2 DVD's! Does Fry's have the Boxed set? A timeless classic is here on DVD format.

I was at the Wilsonville, Oregon Fry's today anf they had the Robotech DVDs for $12.99 apiece and $29.99 for the whole set, so the deal might be limited to just your location. I didn't take them to the checkout to see if it was a different price than marked, though.

hender, my location IS the Wilsonville Fry's, so it is valid there.

christon, the box set includes a third DVD full of extras (I haven't really examined what are the extras, though). But seeing as how there will be at least 6 more DVDs released before the original Robotech series is finished, I'm just buying the episodes for now.
