I'm not super sensitive and have no problem with jokes and stuff, but specifically targeting a family member with that shit is not cool.

I was shocked as shit to hear he died. I mean, really. He seemed to me like one of the least likely people to commit suicide with his amazing children and successful career......

Hopefully this proves that depression is not just "a thing" and is something that needs more attention. Depression also needs proper handling lest it spiral out of control; from what sources are saying, when he checked into rehab in July he was already incredibly depressed.
 
you have to admit that he wasn't the greatest of actors and his jokes were terribly dry and humorless. and for some odd reason he seemed to develop a child molestor'ish look later on in his life.

it's sad that he had to take his own life. with all of that movie star money, you don't think he could have found some help?

I actually feel sorry for the people exposed to this juvenile trash posing as 'news.'

The cover actually reminds me of a young child who just learned the impact of the word fuck, but doesn't yet realize the consequences. And yet these same people probably see suicide as a selfish act, while doing some of the prompting.

The word for it is Yellow Journalism, which used to be considered a derogatory term. Now everyone does it. The industry is in a very sorry state right now. Though the public is partially to blame. They eat that trash up like it's going out of style. Nobody wants to read the hard news.

Not sure how I feel about that. It's like Apple is using this tragedy to get attention.

I just did a factory reset on my Apple TV (trying to get the software update that some are getting) and on boot it featured 3 Robin Williams movies for purchase on iTunes:

  • Dead Poets Society
  • Mrs. Doubtfire
  • Good Morning Vietnam

I dunno. Maybe they aren't capitalizing on it. Maybe iTunes Media Store is just featuring movies that are trending with rentals and purchases right now.
