Robert Urich died today

heard about it this morning and felt very sad. spenser for hire was my favorite show when i was growing up. and then, many years later, vegas became my favorite show when i discovered they were showing it on f/x. robert urich will be missed. 🙁
 
Funny Story: Years ago when I lived in Virginia I was driving on the Interstate from Richmond to Virginia Beach. A little red sports car passed me that had Califorina plates that said RURICH. I only caught the back of the driver's head and it looked like it could have been Robert Urich with the dark hair, shape of his head, etc.

For years I liked to believe that I was passed on the highway by Robert Urich. Until today when I was reading the article about his death I remembered this and just now I realized what that license plate could have been. R-U-RICH (Are You Rich?)

So much for my little brush with fame! 🙁

Cancer claims another... 🙁🙁

I will second dakata's request for more people to join Team Anandtech on the United Devices distributed computing project for a chance to try to help find a cure for cancer. I have all my computers running UD, as I personally consider it a more worthy cause than SETI or the Prime Number program.
