Sometimes I think he makes movies just so his wife has work.

"`My intention is not to have a big red blobby thing, that?s the first thing I want to change,' Zombie said. `That gigantic Jello-looking thing might have been scary to audiences in the 1950s, but people would laugh now. I have a totally different take, one that?s pretty dark.'"

I think he wants to keep some blobby creature, just not the same type as the original? Either way, I bet it will suck.

My g/f just said the same thing the other day when The Devil's Rejects came on IFC.

It will be a big blob full of corpses, or maybe semi-alive people. Something nasty like that.

Devils Rejects was a great low budget flick.

Shes hot enough to be in other stuff if she wanted to be. Besides, she did well as baby.

Indeed

Hell yes it was great! And his inside-the-music-biz dealings secured a killer soundtrack. Hell, I think the music made the movie even better.

I was very surprised by this flick when I first saw it on IFC. Tried to get the wife to watch it, but no go. I do tell others about it whenever they want a good horror flick.

agreed, House of 1000 Corpses was meh...to over the top, but Devil's Reject was nicely done IMO.

The Blob was pretty scary for me back when I was a kid. Of course I saw the 80s version. Then I saw The Stuff, which was delightfully corny and cheesy and enjoyable.

When you think 'The Blob' you think mass of red goo englufing humans and growing in size...

My intention is not to have a big red blobby thing, that?s the first thing I want to change,' Zombie said. `That gigantic Jello-looking thing might have been scary to audiences in the 1950s, but people would laugh now. I have a totally different take, one that?s pretty dark.'

So, what will it been then? If he is changing "The Blob" itself then he needs to change the movie title...
