This really sucks who can they get to replace him. I fear the end is near for one of my favorite shows.

Lowe's character will be written out of the series in March, said NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker.

"Rob has been a huge and great part of the program," Zucker said. "We're fortunate that he's going to be with us for virtually the entire year and after that, Sam Seaborn will move on to other things."

At least he will be around for a little longer.

Looks like TWW has boosted him out of the whole teen sex video thing he got into back in the day

Id quit if I was him too, he can make more money else where now. Sheen got a $200k per episode raise, up to $300k. Everyone else also got raises as well. They wont even talk to him about giving him more money.

I'm just surprised that so many people give a damn about Rob Lowe.

If I were him I'd stay on the show and continue to build the character.

Which would he rather be known for?
The sex video tapes (or whatever it was) he made.
Or The West Wing

He's one of my favorite characters on the show.

What's next? Get rid of Dutch on The Shield? Phil from Ed? Dr. Romano from ER?

How's a person suppose to live on $75,000 a episode, they only shoot 20 episodes a year so that's a paltry 1.5 million.

No wonder he's so thin.

:p u may say that.. but considering the show is consistently quality, he deserves pay on par with other nbc colleagues. just look at friends, its on its last legs, show really isn't funny anymore and each gets paid like over 10x robs pay:p
