"Charlie Sheen reminds me of Bruce Willis. Big in the '80s, and now your old slot is being filled by Ashton Kutcher."

lol
Ok that was a good one

lol, cept bruce got arguably an upgrade, and ashton got used goods;)

I have heard of strange tales from the far reaches of the interweb, where one may be fortunate enough to stumble upon a treasure cove where dangers lurk. Ye be happiest at this hideaway, avast matey. YAAARRRRRRRR!

Just torrent it. I'm sure something 'big' like this is uploaded instantly.

I don't see it a problem either seeing as CC will run this on their channel all day.

This sounds awful. I liked Denis Leary's but the other ones I've seen are usually just kind sad/drab. Maybe with the bigger names being roasted it's gotten better, I've missed the recent ones.

actually, those are worse, because they stick other celebs on there that are not comedians, and are absolutely not funny.

Hasselhoff and Shatner was OK, because there were some great funnies, but you still have people like Pamela Anderson showing up being incredibly lame (the only good thing about them being there is that the actual comedians rag on those guests).

Bob Sagat was great, because not only is Sagat a hilarious, filthy guy, but it was all comedians making jokes about him being a filthy pervert.

I missed SHeen last night, but I saw that Mike Tyson was on there...I think this is going to be more in the sad/groan-category

You can't roast someone like Charlie Sheen... the jokes have all been done a million times already, and he's already come back with something worse. These roasts only exist to give Jeff Ross, Lisa Lampanelli and Greg Giraldo a career, and Greg Giraldo and Lisa Lampanelli weren't in this one (dead and dead career respectively). I saw a bit of it and it lived up to expectations, by which I mean Comedy Central needs to stop scheduling roasts of people whose roasts are so obvious that I could come up with all the jokes while simultaneously falling down a flight of stairs. Pam Anderson, Flava Flav, David Hasselhoff, William Shatner, Hugh Hefner, Charlie Sheen... Fuck it, I guess they should roast Lindsay Lohan next. It will be a laugh riot. If I'm falling down a flight of stairs. Which, let's face it, I usually am.

yes, but they still never fail to make jokes about Lampanelli and black cock, even when she isn't there.

Tyson made the show. He was over the top in laughing at jokes, people were almost afraid to make fun of him, and he was bat-shit crazy at the mic :D

This.

Oh, and I didn't know that the sexual orientation of Seth Macfarlane was in doubt. It makes sense now...

Usually skip the roasts, but anthony jeselnik is a comedian I like (the rest of the regulars aren't very funny). I downloaded the Sheen roast last night and skipped to jeselnik, watched it, and closed windows media player. I might watch jeselnik one more time before deleting the file.

Oh, and Jeselnik has been on a few of my favorite comedy podcasts recently and he said that everyone was forbidden from saying any rape jokes about tyson. He could say them on the podcast, though :D

Got it last night. Will watch it later this week probably.

I didn't know Donald Trump was roasted, last one I saw was David Hasselhoff which was awesome. So I just went and downloaded Donald Trump as well as Joan Rivers which was right before Hasselhoff. Will have a lot of Roasting to watch

I've seen enough of those roasts to know that the regular comics suck and the comics who write for the celebrities suck. Jeselnik put out a perfect comedy album last year. He's far funnier than any regular on the roasts.

yeah, but that's just not very funny in the end. laughing at someone's insanity is not very interesting, and is only good for a brief lulz. I prefer the cleverness that comes from real comedians.

I think it was Jeffrey Ross, I forget the Roastee, but Bea Arthur was one of the guests.

Ross (to one of the other guests, probably Lampanelli): I wouldn't touch you with Bea Arthur's dick.

now, as far as roasting goes, that is gold.

Meh, that's about standard. I like insult humor & all, but an hour long roast with the same jokes is a little tiresome. If anyone other than Jeselnik had a good act, I'll watch it after it goes viral. Jeselnik made a Richard Pryor joke that made Patrice O'neal stand up and clap.

Of course, the best roast appearance I've seen was the Norm MacDonald one on Bob Sagat.

haha, I was about to mention the Norm MacDonald act.

it was great, because it was so intentionally unfunny. I suspect he was making a reference to Sagat in general--by being unfunny. but it was very much Norm MacDonald's schtick.

And then Norm's response to that troll-looking dude that took a jab at him:

Troll dude: watching your act is like watching Henry Fonda pick blueberries
Norm: Now, now wait a minute....I don't believe there is a person in this room that wouldn't want to watch Henry Fonda pick blueberries, am I right?
:D

but that's what I also don't like about the roasts--it really is just the same thing over and over. I'm not really in to insult comedy, or at least--I can tolerate it briefly.

Am I the only one to notice that the OP spelled Charlie wrong in the thread title?

A fellow Jeselnik AND DLM fan? Good taste, gentleman

Also, the sad part about the brilliant macdonald/sagat bit is that 2/3 of the people who saw it thought simultaneously "who is this guy?" and "this guy isn't funny at all..."
