When I went I didn't need one, I think just a DL. Worst off just bring a certified copy of your birth certificate and you'll be good

also, do I need exchange U.S. currency before I enter the country, or are there currency exchange locations throughout Toronto?

Many places take U.S. currency. Doesn't hurt to convert some. I'd do it at a local bank. Or just use an ATM.

I'm sure there are some there, but won't hurt to exchange it before hand. You can go and get a copy of your Birth certificate for like $15. Don't think they'll take an original anyway....

should be a fun trip, only 8 hours from Jersey. I need to really clear my head.
